About Pernsole
A sneaker that still feels good at hour eight of a twelve-hour shift is not a luxury — it is the bare minimum. That is the only standard we design to.
Our story
Pernsole was founded in 2024 in Son La by three friends who had spent years in retail, hospitality and warehouse work — jobs where you are on your feet from open to close. We were tired of two extremes: heavily marketed performance sneakers priced like investments, and bargain-bin pairs whose foam pancakes flat in six weeks. We knew the engineering for a sneaker that stays comfortable across a long shift was not a secret — it was just rarely the priority when the budget was spent on celebrity endorsements. So we built our own. Pernsole is not trying to dethrone anyone. It is trying to give the person stocking shelves at 11pm a pair that actually does the job.
How we make our shoes
Each Pernsole silhouette starts in a small lab with an instrumented insole and a dozen testers from the local market who walk a measured 5km loop. We iterate the midsole density, the heel-to-toe drop and the lacing geometry until heart-rate-recovery and reported foot-fatigue both fall inside our target window. Our current generation uses a dual-density EVA midsole (firmer 55C around the heel cup for stability, softer 45C under the forefoot for spring), a memory-foam topsheet that does not bottom out after the first month, and a rubber outsole compounded for grip on wet tile — because most of our customers work on it. Uppers are engineered mesh with reinforced TPU saddles in the wear zones.
Our promise to you
We make four promises and we keep them publicly:
Sized correctly
Our last runs true to EU sizing with extra forefoot volume. The interior length is printed on every product page in centimetres so you can measure once and order with confidence.
Comfortable on day one
No break-in. If your Pernsoles need three weeks to "soften up", they were made wrong. Send them back.
Honest reviews
Every review is from a verified buyer. We do not edit them, we do not pay for them, and we publish the bad ones too — they are usually how we find the next thing to fix.
Fair returns
Thirty days, free domestic exchange on size, prepaid label on defects. The shoe came in a box; it goes back in a box. That is all.
Meet the team
Pernsole is run from a single workshop in Bac Yen by an 8-person team — a lead designer, two assemblers, an insole-and-midsole technician, a QC lead, and a small customer-care desk that answers the phone in Vietnamese and English. Everyone on the team wears a current-season pair to work every day. If a model is not comfortable enough to be the workshop’s daily driver, it does not get released.
If you spend your day standing, walking, or chasing a small human around a park, we would like to be the pair you reach for first. The contact details below reach a real human during business hours.
